V-Non and The AIM West Coast are Clicking Up!

Not only is AIM Canada in the process of building under the capable hands of Canada's AIM General Coffy, AIM East Coast is exploding via AIM General's SAI and Enki, but now AIM Cali veteran and all round talented musician/emcee/activist and philosopher Gabe 'V-Non' Rosales has taken the reigns of The AIM on the West Coast. He has made his debut video appearance where he spits a firebrand acapella which leaves you fiending for more. V-Non has been a part of the backbone of this movement for the last year so he has more than earned his stripes. His musical achievements, not to mention his life experiences, will make you wonder why he's one of the most humble cats you could ever meet.

We can see the time has come for V-Non to step up as AIM General on the West Coast and he already has two fellow Mexicano hermanos to hold it down with him; The Mexican Marlon Brando who brought La Raza to the UK on The AIM's I Want Justice UK Tour, Jehuniko, and our brand new Cali soldado Golden Cyclops whose music sounds like the twisted love child of Rage Against the Machine and Vinnie Paz. There is no doubt our new boy is going to bring it hard just like his fellow AIM West Coast Mexican brothers. We're also hoping that the legendary Greydon Square will fly from AZ to CA to perform with V-Non and his clika at some point.

Jehuniko

Golden Cyclops

All we know is that The AIM is going to be making a mark not just in the UK anymore, but all over the US and Canada. We're planning on expanding into Europe, Latin America, Africa and even the Middle East. Injustice is global so we have to be global to combat it. Moreover we have to be as organized as the enemy itself so we'll be rolling with the impenetrable organizational structure of MS13 but with the ethics of the Zapatistas because it's justice, freedom and love that we're clicking up globally to fight for. We need you for the global AIM Revolution!

Keep your Finger on the Trigger!

Capital-"X" On The MOVE 9

This past Saturday, August 7, 2010 I embarked on a mission with a few comrades of mine. We drove 10 hours from Raleigh, North Carolina up to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to support fellow revolutionaries and activists that were meeting on behalf of the MOVE 9. MOVE or the MOVE Organization is a Philadelphia-based black liberation group founded by charismatic leader John Africa. You can read more on the MOVE and the MOVE 9 here http://www.onamove.com/move9/ this is their official website.
I have vowed to fight for prisoners rights and against all injustices and the case of the MOVE 9 is clearly an injustice. This injustice really struck a chord with me because I clearly remember watching the injustices on the MOVE Organization when I was coming up. When I was 14 years old I remember seeing the news talking about the shoot out that took place in Powelton Village where the MOVE were located at the time in Philadelphia. Philadelphia police officer James J. Ramp was killed in this shootout. Seven other police officers, five were found guilty of third-degree murder in the shooting death of a police officer. Seven of the nine became eligible for parole in the spring of 2008, and all seven were denied parole which is what this rally was all about. These members of MOVE have been in prison for over 30 years now continuously professing their innocence. Keep in mind that in most all European countries the maximum prison sentence handed down for first degree murder is 21 years. This to me is a clear indication of an injustice taking place right before our very eyes. Parole hearings for MOVE members now occur yearly so yes, I stepped up to speak out for the release of the MOVE 9. They are political prisoners being held for their beliefs alone.

Speaking out at the MOVE 9 Rally 7-8-2010

Many traveled to Philadelphia in behalf of the MOVE 9 and many spoke out, calling for Justice. It is easy to sit on ones home computer and partake in the struggle. I am not criticizing here because the Internet is an essential tool in the fight for true justice. But, in order to really make a difference though people do need to make some sacrifices if WE the people are ever going to see some real change take place here in AmeriKKKa and world wide. If three of us can come out of pocket and drive over twenty hours in a car with no air condition there just is not any excuse for anyone within a 100 mile radius for not attending a rally, conference, festival or concert that is put together by the people for the people. I do wish to thank the small hand full of people that do support me by buying Cd's and tee-shirts which fund my tour calling for true justice and the fight for the ending of the death penalty world wide.

Ramona Africa the lone survivor of the MOVE bombing in 1985 who headed up the rally MOVED all in attendance with her speeches which were very heart felt by all those that were their to support her and the MOVE 9. Many passerby were also touched by Ramona and all the other speakers. People stopped to listen and to read the information handed out by all the protesters. Hearing Ramona speak was indeed powerful. One could not ignore the truth that she spoke. Her words were undeniable and one could not help but to see the reality of the injustices inflicted on the MOVE organization. Scars covered Ramona's arms and legs from the bombing she survived by Philadelphia Police, an act that was condemned by many, an act that resulted in the deaths of 11 men, women and children. Ramona Africa, after all she has withstood still till this very day remains on the front lines of the struggle. She is an inspiration and a true revolutionary that we all should support.

One is never to young to be a revolutionary. Many of the MOVE children stood up and spoke out demanding for justice and calling for the release of their comrades and loved ones. Let them be our inspiration and let us support them for they are our future.

The struggle continues as it has for centuries. In the past oppression was much more obvious. Today people believe they are free unable to see the works of our government. People still DEPEND on politicians. How can we say we are free when most are dependent on the government for everything? Having a house, a car and a good job does not equal freedom, it amounts to economical enslavement. Freedom is owning your own land without having to pay the government outrages taxes on your land. Freedom is being able to work your land, growing and raising your own food and being able to enjoy nature. Freedom is being able to roam the earth freely as the animals do. Instead most with the free will that we were born with choose economical enslavement without any resistance. People trade their freedom for video games, reality TV, mainstream media, cars, jewelry and fancy clothes. None of these amount to freedom. The MOVE 9 and countless other political prisoners sit dying in five by nine prison cells because they refused to conform. They refused what the government had to offer because they seen passed the lies and the deceit. Not only did they refuse to make a deal with the devil, they spoke out against it. Open your eyes and see the truth. You may feel comfortable right this moment sitting on your computer reading this blog, but what would happen next month if you lost your job? When one losses their job, that's when you see what is free in this country they call the land of the free. The only thing that is free in AmeriKKKa, is the fact that you are free to die in the street if you do not produce labor for the rich. One in every one hundred AmeriKKKans are now in prison. DO NOT, DO NOT fool yourself into thinking it will never happen to you. Because it can.

Peace, love and progress. In Revolution 4 All.

The Struggle Continues!!!

Seeking Justice For Ian Tomlinson

On April 1st 2009 an English newspaper vendor was on his way home from work when he came across an area containing a number of G20 protestors and riot police. Around 19.30 he collapsed in the street and died.

The Police initially reported that he had died of a heart attack. Allegations started to emerge that he had been assaulted by police before his death and a statement was released by Police stating that they had had no interaction with him prior to his collapse. A week later a video was obtained by The Guardian newspaper from a New York man who had been in London on business. The footage (above) show Ian Tomlinson walking in front of riot police and dog handlers, walking away from them. One officer then struck his legs from behind with a baton and pushed him to the ground. The footage shows this was an unprovoked attack on an innocent passerby who minutes later collapsed and died.

The first autopsy result confirmed the cause of death as being a heart attack. Dr. 'Freddy' Patel is currently suspended from duty pending an investigation by the General Medical Council and faces at least 26 charges of inappropriate conduct related to 4 other cases. The second autopsy was performed at the request of The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) and of Ian Tomlinson's family. It returned the cause of death as being internal bleeding resulting from a blow to the abdomen with complications caused by psorosis of the liver. A third autopsy was requested by the defence and this returned the same verdict as the second one.

Other videos by passersby and journalists have also been made public of the incident but The IPCC claimed that no CCTV cameras existed in the area where the assault had taken place. A newspaper later published pictures of 6 CCTV cameras in the area and the statement was withdrawn by The IPCC. The officer who struck Ian Tomlinson has recently been named as PC Simon Harwood and The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has taken until very recently to make a decision on whether or not to prosecute him.

The CPS announced on July 22nd that there would be no prosecution in the case as the differing opinions in the 3 autopsy results made it too difficult to determine the true cause of death and therefore to bring a case against the officer in question. PC Harwood is facing a disciplinary hearing for gross misconduct.

A picket against The Department Of Public Prosecution (DPP) has been arranged for Friday 30th July and pickets will also be carried out throuhout the UK in support. Those wishing to attend the London picket should be at The Office of Department of Public Prosecution,Rose Court, 2 Southwark Bridge, SE1 9HS at 12 noon. Those unable to attend can look for a protest in their area, or just do one yourself or with some friends. Those unable to do that can show their support in the way that I will be. Change your avatar picture to a picture of Ian Tomlinson for 1 day, and tell everyone you speak to his story.

RIP Ian Tomlinson. Justice must be had.

Mental Freedom and Mindfulness

Looking at the AIM and its members may overwhelm people no matter what religion, race, creed or political affiliation. The members are dedicated and inspired. Each one of us came from our own respective parts of the globe and picked up good and bad habits along the way. Whether we were prosecuted by our families and chased out of our homelands due to religion, spent decades as government slaves in the prison system, spent 16 hours a day for weeks in silence in meditation, sabotaged KKK rallies in our youth, or studied a lifetimes worth of documents on corrupt political systems of the world and achieved high levels of education, we have converged under one banner.

Our mission isn't to bond by exclusion the way many organized religions have gained followers. Its not about a drive to be part of something exclusive. The only thing we have realized is that we are ALL part of something exclusive on this rock which is being a human and surprisingly enough, this understanding is what separates our reality as a group from the realities of others. By understanding this connection in our waking consciousness we know that we can never be free as a species unless all of us are free. Freedom is a state of mind as we have seen from many of the great writers and leaders of our time. They were forced to endure and found peace when they were physically confined. You can cage the physical person but you cannot cage their ideas and thoughts. We see this in the words of Nelson Mandela and Mumia. The ideas start small and then they expand like a wildfire. Mental emancipation is slowly spreading but the contraints run deep as they are almost embedded in our DNA.

The old corrupt thought of entitlement based on name or family lineage, justice based on commerce, or superiority based on race, gender or religion are the instruments used for centuries to create the mental prison that has alienated us from ourselves as we are separated in our mental cells. We cannot be mentally free while these institutions are in place because they perpetuate ego and economic cannibalism. Those in power have actually convinced us, and aided us in stealing from each other as long as we give them a cut. Being trapped in these mental cells we have learned to cut each others throats for our own piece of a cake that those who have manipulated us have taught us to want. By living in these mental cells we have had no choice but to look at ourselves separately because we feel thats what our "purpose" is. These concepts of differences are fueled by capitalism, world governments, religious nationalism, consumerism, sexism and racism.

The point is not for every person to drop everything they're doing and dedicate their lives the way members of the AIM have, the point is to dedicate our lives to one other. The systems that seem to be concreted into turning us against each other so we are easily manipulated will not be taken down by our "right to bare arms" against them. It will be taken down by every day actions of every person under its rule. Propping up your fellow human is the antithesis of these driving forces. If someone feels helpless against defending women's rights against Sharia law, a time will come when a person will be ready and the illusion of helplessness will subside. Until then, theres people who need your help in your own community and if you're one of those people that needs the help, we will help you and theres still always something to give.

The AIM is not only about helping all our brothers and sisters, it is about educating to help bring others out of their mental incarcerations so that they to can have a healthy mind to combat the manipulators. No one has to be part of any group to help a child to care for another. Theres always something you can do, no matter how small. Its the volition behind it that spreads.

To all the AIM members, we need to lead by example. Communication is key, we must hold a high standard because if we are separate, then we can never unify others. Up the ante people.

Buy Your AIM Underground Apparel Today!

The Anti-Injustice Movement will now be selling AIM merchandise in order for you to effectively rep your favourite underground activist movement!

The AIM is a movement which represents the people (and animals for that matter) so we want to have merchandise for people to represent their solidarity with the movement, whether they be members or supporters. Selling merchandise will also allow us to make a little money to go towards running the movement because we are not a funded organization and if we do not have money for events then we can not sustain ourselves in the struggle for justice. Therefore we ask you to please support us, members and supporters, by buying and reppin AIM merchandise. We would love to be able to give all members free t-shirts and we have given many away to our various members of the month but this is money out of our own pockets and it means that the movement is paying out but bringing nothing in. Nevertheless members will get a generous discount. If we are going to run this organization we need to be fundraising, donating when possible, and selling merchandise. AK and I have bought ours already, as have a few other AIM members who repped theirs at a recent rally in London.

We are starting off with selling plain white t-shirts sporting the AIM logo on the front (pictured above) and will be adding more designs, colours, styles etc as we get them in. We plan to make AIM Online Street Team shirts which should be available soon, as well as a number of other AIM designs. Any ladies out there looking to rep The AIM with a women's fitted tee please get in touch so we can get an idea of whether it is worth our while to have some made up. Same applies to all colours, styles, designs etc that people may want - let us know and we'll see what we can do!

This t-shirt is available in sizes Large and Extra Large and can be shipped worldwide. Each shirt costs £12.00 / $20.00 / €17.00 including postage. To order just pay via Paypal on our merchandize page. Once this has been received the order will be shipped. All shipping will be economy and from the UK initially. For any next day/guaranteed delivery requests please contact us for a quote.

You can also buy merchandise from AIM members Monte Smith here and Capital-"X" here. We hope to soon have a store on the site selling AIM and members/affiliates merchandise so keep coming back here for information.

Bump or Buy The AIM's Revolutionary Raptivism!

X Has AIM
AIM General Capital-'X' Reppin The AIM Revolution

If you are into Street Poetry, Anarchist/Political Hip-Hop and real revolutionary lyricism please check out our political/revolutionary emcees and street poets from
The Anti-Injustice Movement (aka The AIM) on our new AIM Raptivist Collective profile on Reverbnation. We just dropped a sick new underground Hip-Hop album, Lyrical Warfare Volume 1, which is a lyrical IED being hurled at the NWO global elites, the theocrats and the growing police state which is sweeping the entire planet.

The AIM's Ecuadorian Rebel, emcee SAI, has also donated his track 'Real Gangsta' as a paid download to help fund our organization. The track hits out at fake thugs who have their identity bastardized by white washed corporate cRap music and celebrates the real revolutionaries who deserve the title 'gangsta.' If you got love for Che Guevara more than Lil Weiner then you're going to want to download this track fo real.

We have to sell this mixtape, and our
slick new t-shirts, as we are a non-profit group. We just need to make enough green for our Protest/Hip-Hop/Street Poetry/Activism Education Conference in the UK for early next year. Please buy our album Lyrical Warfare Vol 1, or even just a few tracks, at the Reverbnation Store, ITunes, Amazon, Napster or CD Baby. If you're flat broke like us just lay back, pop a can of organic root beer and bump the rhymes of the revolution. ;)

AK47

BIO
Thus Spoke AK47

"I'm a firebrand revolutionary bitch, Che Guevara with perfect tits."
(AK47)

AK47 is a half Scottish half Slovenian obsessive compulsive hardcore hip-hop lovin straight edge atheist who spouts Nietzsche quotes at random intervals. She has a first class honours in Religious Studies and a Masters in Humanities with a research focus on Religious Terrorism. Her Masters thesis was entitled “The Problem with Bloody Religion: A Critical Analysis of the Profound Relationship Between Religion and Violence upon the Theatre of Global Terror” , which advocated a new theory of ‘religious violence’ involving the idea of metaphysical scarcity. She also wrote and directed a play entitled ’Pillowstalk’ for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2000 which was dubbed by one critic as ‘offensive yet intelligent’, a bit like herself at times.

Since then she has worked teaching English to foreign national criminals in a prison, tutoring academic study skills at a university, promoting underground hip-hop and fetish clubs, and busting up fights while working as a Glasgow bouncer. She is currently running an international secular hip-hop/protest poetry activist movement called The Anti-Injustice Movement (The AIM). The AIM is a worldwide movement of activists, political emcees and protest poets who use intelligent and creative non-violent methods to fight global injustice, perpetrated by the government, organized religion, or corporate vampires. They are lyrical protesters who throw words instead of Molotov cocktails. AK47 co-ordinates the movement, promotes the various hip-hop artists involved, and is a firebrand protest poet in her own right. Her poetry cuts as deep as a Columbian necktie.

She has also recently become the UK Chapter leader for revolutionary hip-hop organization/guerrilla apparel clothing brand Guerrilla Republik who are also an AIM affiliate.

AK's 'grandeur of aspiration', in her own words, is to: “ Deprogram the minds of those who have been lulled into sedation by the soothing lies that surround us. ”

POETRY

Dead Inside

My heart feels disdain with the strain of cheap cocaine

My serotonin levels are deficient
I vacuum up the dopemine to straighten out my brain
I take uppers and downers in an ironic attempt to not go insane
Cocaine nights, valium afternoons and lesbian sex make me forget
That everytime these men raped me I was anything but wet
It's all in the past of a baby prostitute they nicknamed Colette.
But let's be realistic I'm just another statistic
And when Necro sings about White Slavery
He bastarizes the bravery of abused 'whores' everywhere
Who get up in the morning when they don't fucking care.
Cos when you've been raped with a broken glass bottle
You're not really there,
You can't unsee the flashbacks behind your hard paranoid stare
But I was one of the few that did survive,
Hard and smart enough to academically thrive
But the sad thing in life is not in dying, It's what dies inside of us when we are alive.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dog Collar Daddy
The trick baby never recovered from that first broken nose,
She became harder than Tyler Durden,
Kept her so called 'friends' at a distance and her enemies real fucking close.
The problem with being in vice is that you end up smoking ice,
And every dirty pervert thinks he can give you his advice,
While he's fucking a pre-pubescent with a motherfucking knife,
Then he puts back on his dog collar and goes home to kiss his wife.
Then he stands upon the pulpit with a hard on in his hand,
Screaming 'sex outside of marriage should be legally banned.'
"Homosexuality is a sin," he proclaims and "Fags should burn in hell!"
While his son's cartoon bedspread is sanctified with daddy's salty smell
"Eve is part of Adam's rib!"
Thus he curses to hell women's lib.
That's why he fucked his daughter when she was only in the crib.
But it's ok,
He said sorry,
And God forgives him?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Women: The Most Haram of All Meat
Faceless drones of black silk shuffle through the street,
They can't show their faces in public places,
Or they'll be raped by Mohammed for not being discreet
The brides of Allah are bled out of identity,
They are the most haram of all meat.
Their lives are slaughtered like swine,
In an abattoir to the divine,
Behind black silken prisons they have ideas and visions,
But if we don't grant them no rights,
They can't make no decisions.
Religion holds the trump card that we need to discard
But in this climate of theocracy this is so fucking hard!
The liberals for liberals sake say that Sharia is about choice,
When oppression is institutionalised people don't use their voice
When submission becomes a sacrament only the masters will rejoice
But there is never no freedom in slavery
Hiding a punch in the face ain't about bravery,
Muslim women are people like you and me,
Thus we are all duty bound to set them free
Never bow down to the will of Allah,
Nor mutter the words 'inshallah',
Be proud to be the dirty kuffar,
Because political Islam you've gone too far!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once Upon A Crime
The Combat Kid in the video arcade was playing at GI Joe.
Then he opened fire at milk break,
Wasting fourth grade like a pro.
Channel nine asked “ Why d’ya do it son? “
Combat Kid only smirked “ I dunno. “
And Mary Poppins pulls an Uzi from her carpet bag, and gives Jane and Michael ammo.
Little Orphan Annie got adopted,
By a paedophile ring.
“ It’s a hard knock life for us! “ the children sing.
And the pillar of the community laughs.
Please leave the light on, “ the children said.
“ We get bad dreams and we wet the bed. “
But the room is empty, and the lightbulb red.
And the sun won’t come out tomorrow.
Oliver Twist screams at his persecutors “ We Want MORE! “
Alice knows Wonderland is just the mescaline.
And perfect Cinderella is a cock sucking whore,
And the boy that cried wolf was not lying.
But what’s one more little kid crying or dying
“ Your children are not dead. “ the Pied Piper said.
“ They’re just waiting until the world deserves them. “
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Shopping Mall
Are you only half alive?
Do you not know who you are?
Have you bought the dream?
Do you want to be a Superstar?
A hippie mad dog cult leader?
A Bardot bitch in a boudoir?
Mercedez Benz, Versace, ornamental bidet,
Ray Bann, biofoods and a cafe au lait,
Coca-Cola,
Pearl white smiles,
Do you want to be part of a cliche?
The bleach blonde Barbie plastic nympho,
With her 'Cosmo Guide To Feminist Fellatio',
Consumerism,
And the average American psycho.
The Billboard,
Propaganda,
Chewing gum TV,
The Rat Race,
Marketplace,
The Powers That Be,
I’m an anti-social,
In an anti-social society.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lolita's Lullaby
Dirty bleached blonde baby whores,
Credit card kicks,
Scrape the knife down my arm happiness,
Truth for me is internet murder graphics,
Nihilistic resignation.
The lullaby of comfortable misanthropy that makes it all okay,
In the long run we’re all dead anyway.
How can you push me when I’m already in free fall?
Daily fantasies about wasting those bastards at the local shopping mall.
And it will all have been wasted.
I’m nothing; in the future, in the present, or before.
I’m just a £30 pound a fuck whore.
Nothing less,
Nothing more.
The bruises that you cry for aren’t even sore.
I’m just a piece of abused shit ravaged to the core.
There is no redemption.
And the hatred seeps further than you can ever reach.
I’m the maggot in the putrid peach.
I suck upon the sickness like an overfed leech.
You will never know me,
Because you weren’t ass fucked, gang raped or handled with plastic gloves.
You just watched too much TV,
And you’ll never be me,
And I’m really glad that you will never see that shit that I had to see.
Please don’t look at the the pictures they took of me.
She cowers in the corner,
Alone,
Needs someone to hold her,
Maybe she's worth nothing just like they told her.

Monte Smith

BIO

Monte Smith is an internationally acclaimed Street Poet, Rap Journalist, Community Based Educator and Anti-Racist Activist from Winston Salem NC. He has been described as “a fire-brand… a true revolutionary, I mean raw!” by Bruce George, co-creator of HBO’S Def Poetry Jam. Elemental Magazine wrote “Poetry abounds in Hip Hop, but rarely does an individual’s work transcend the elements and conventions with a such a gripping emotional and political style.” More impressive is what UK’s Hip Hop/Jazz group US 3 had to say "If you drew a line from The Watts Prophets through Gill Scott Heron and Public Enemy to Dead Prez, uncompromising wordsmith Monte Smith would be the latest addition to the club. Listen up!" No wonder the Legendary Chuck D of Public Enemy picked Monte’s poem ‘The Deal is Done’ to record for the audio version of The Bandana Republic: A Literary Anthology by Gang Members and Their Affiliates. (Soft Skull Press)

Monte began his writing and activism career in the late 80’s and early 90’s working and writing anti-racist literature for revolutionary groups such as S.H.A.R.P and A.R.A. As the 90s continued, Monte created Third World Citizens, a Hip Hop collective that later spawned the careers of DJ’s Faust, (Bomb Records) DJ Klever, (DMC Champ) and DJ T-Roc (Bomb Records). Around the same time he started writing articles and conducting interviews for URB, SUBCULTURE, and HEADZ magazines. Over the years Monte has interviewed Maxine Waters, Black Moon, Old Dirty Bastard, DJ Qbert, KRS 1, The Beatnuts, Smif n Wessun, Crazy Legs, Black Thought, (The Roots), Poet 99, Aceyalone, and AZ to name a few.

He is the creator and producer of the Red Bull Word Clash, the largest Street Poetry Competition in the world. The incendiary documentary of the Word Clash won the audience award at the 2006 New York City Indy Film Festival, and garnered accolades from such diverse news outlets as Greensboro, North Carolina’s “Triad Style” weekly entertainment newspaper to the Greek daily Eleftherotypia, which devoted a full page to coverage of the Word Clash.

Monte has also been interviewed and had his poetry reviewed by NPR, Amnesty International, The Source, Blogtalk Radio, Insomniac, Rap Pages and Guerrilla Underground dot com. The famous revolutionary, poet and playwright Amiri Baraka, in conversation with Dr. William Turner, a freelance journalist for the Winston Salem Journal, exclaimed that Monte was the reincarnation of Allen Ginsberg after watching him perform only one poem.

He has performed and lectured at Wake Forest University, Duke University, Guilford College and Loyola Mary Mount University. He has recorded with DJ Vadim, (BBE Records) Breeze Evaflowin’, and MF Grimm. He was a featured poet on Def Poetry Jam dot com, chosen to speak as a stand in for Maya Angelou at the “Racial Equality Week” symposium at Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston Salem, NC, created a poetry work shop for high risk youth in Winston Salem, NC and has become a frequent lecturer at West Guilford High School in Greensboro NC.

Over the years Monte has won numerous slams including The Alabama Grand Slam, The Roanoke, Virginia Slam (two times in a row) and the infamous Rough Rhymes Competition. Talk The Talk

It’s funny, every time I’m interviewed I’m always asked, “What makes you write the way you do?” Well…

I write like I do
because John Brown inspired me too
because I’m an Abolitionist
because of the no fly list
because of unjust taxes
because the pigs are still using poor people as target practice
because 911 was an inside job
because The School of the Americas is still open, therefore Latin Amerikkka
is still open to rob
because the majority of blacks in this penal colony still follow the master’s religion
because we’re killing ourselves over simple traditions
because James Byrd has been forgotten
because greed is starving our souls
because Babylon is so rotten
because Brandon McClellan’s story hasn’t been told

I write like I do
because the Move 9 needs me too
because you may be thinking change, but Obama won’t free Mumia
because someone raped and killed sister Rita
because AIDS is man made
because the C.O.’s killed brother Wade
because hate caved in Emmett Tills head
because most whites believe racism is dead
because there’s a war against the youth and no one cares
because Curtis Mayfield died broke in a wheelchair
because the mark of the beast isn’t 666, it’s the cross around your neck
because Rap music is under corporate check
because 160 private prisons are functioning in 26 states
because our sanity is at stake
because revolutionary music is under federal attack
because many of you haven’t read the Patriot Act

Author's Note
To simply put it, the word is not to be fucked with. Too many poets/writers have been imprisoned, tortured and killed for their words. (David Walker, William Cooper, Bob Marley).

In fact, the power of language suffers when poets/writers come unequipped to be fighters. In an essay on “Dub” poet Linton Kwesi Johnson, Tom Terrell wrote:“From the moment man’s vocabulary evolved from grunts to vowels, the primal power of the spoken word has shaped his world”.

Now, with that in mind let me ask you, are you ready to shape the world in the tradition of our fallen? Look around -- someone has to take the lead. The media has failed us, Hollywood distracts us.
The truth is, or should I say the problem is, the primal power of language today is only understood by most people in the forms of rate plans, two dollar ring tones and high speed dial up.

And to add kosher salt to the stab wound, the educational system in this country does everything it can NOT to stimulate change. Imagine for a moment… you’re back in your eighth grade English class, and instead of being force fed Moby Dick you had the option of H. Rap Brown’s Die Nigger Die. Overstand, we will never find anything greater in life than the systematic misery of dying on broken knees,
if we don’t speak out…

Not accepting and openly discussing the truth is the reason why lower class society continues to fester in social and economic chaos! Even as we speak, global trade systems set up by elite families posing as governments and corporations have the average man slaving for a fortune that will never be, and to keep control over his confused and idle mind, praying to a god he’ll never see. The programming is world wide
and remains due to the divide between poor people like you and me.

That’s right; the controllers/directors of society want us silent, uncertain and stressed as we chase pennies,
dope boys and meaningless intercourse. They reinforce these suicidal values through military recruiting, lack of opportunity and commercial radio. In fact, we think we’re living in a democracy because there are a hundred selections of cereal on isle four. What about real choices? That’s what’s needed, not fixed
elections and wars! And now with the Patriot Act on the hip of every right wing Christian in power, its open season on anyone who speaks out on:

Race
Religion
Police Killings
The Real Drug War
America, the Plantation
9/11 Being an Inside Job
The Prison Industrial Complex
Adults Raping and Killing Children

Let’s not forget the current administration, better yet the elite families who prop them up. Reinforcing why it’s so important to speak out. It’s a reminder to the blood suckers of the poor: no matter who you murder, lock up, or infiltrate - Fred Hampton, Mumia Abu Jamal, The Watts Prophets - there will ALWAYS be someone to take their place!

The Art Of Killing Children

The idea of God creates power
and so does money
and the two together create genocide
and bloody Sundays

It’s called

Ethnic Cleansing
washing the opposed in genocide
mass homicide
organized religion is nothing to be proud of
the dividing is killing
and looming around the remaining
lonely for a suitable life
that doesn’t include “the decision”
because when your poor
it’s either resistance or religion
and when the two mix
death dresses in persistence

Therefore this is written for the innocent children
being mentally murdered by the words
of what another man say
I say a rich preacher
is a poor servant to his or her God
making car payments off the hope and faith
of their supposed fallen flock
unlike some
I won’t support their hookers and golf trips

I believe music is God
and the vibe has been mistaken
for man, by man
for way too long
children of rebellious music
open your ears
and listen to the rhythm in your soul
music is the only action they can’t control

But religion though
it’s all ill-gotten gains
and while the majority trains
to kill in the name of King James
I ask you?

Are you a part of the problem or the solution?
Because if you believe in organized religion
how will you be among those who one day
will celebrate organized revolution?

Besides

What are we believing in a man-made God for?

You like contributing to slavery, cannibalism and war?

You mean to tell me you condone the actions of honor killings, suicide bombers and bank tellers slinging
“In God We Trust?”

I know it’s off the subject
but if that’s truly the case
then why can’t the homeless
sleep in banks and other holy places
when the shelters are full?

Do trust

Most can’t imagine pitch-black after life

Where’s the meaning?

Where’s the light?

So being the creative creatures we are
we create the great vice
to determine who’s been naughty or nice
and in return

Islam continues to be taken out of context
Dr. York was convicted of forcing children to have sex
in World War II the pope helped the Nazis kill Jews
and in return Jews think they’re the chosen few
Understand I am not here to offend you

But Christianity is as much to blame for slavery
as the Portuguese

So tell me

After all these years of holy war
when do we receive solidarity?

Its time to get off our knees
and see the real charity
human beings
visible
right here
and miserable

Why?

Because the idea of God creates power
and so does money
and the two together create genocide
and bloody Sundays

It’s called
ethnic cleansing
washing the opposed in genocide
mass homicide
organized religion is nothing to be proud of
the dividing is killing

It is killing US!

The Enemy At Home

I don’t know about you, but it’s funny
to hear Hannity on TV telling me to
keep my eyes open for the enemy at
home.

Hell, the police are everywhere I go.

It’s been time to show the propaganda
machine it’ll remain impossible to reach
us as long as his-story’s in pieces.

To me, it doesn’t make sense like Mary
and Jesus.

How many victims of police brutally do
we have in the place to be?

Who remembers Tompkins Square Park,
Kent State or Howard Beach?

I debate, we can’t wait on man’s laws to
manifest justice for humanity’s sake.

These past acts of protectin’ and servin’
prove the scales will remain unbalanced
until the pigs find their rights burnin’ in
the same fire that’s cooking ours in broad
daylight.

I’m tellin’ ya, they’ll bomb you like MOVE
in Philadelphia.

Who remembers Shaka Sankofa,
the Massacre at Waco, Talkin’Blues?

Sorry Bob, Slave Driver caught the fire
and threw it back with plenty of matches,
pipes and crack all wrapped up in a CIA
party pack with a little tag attached reading:

Die Niggers.

So to all the rich fraternities and sororities
cloning soon to be judges and DAs, stop
booking reggae bands at your keg parties.

It’s a slap in the face of the starving.

For real, you need to think about that the next
time you’re “Jamming ‘til the jamming is through.”
Off the record smoking herb with the
band but in five years you’ll be responsible
for the building of more death camps
to imprison their youth.

Who remembers JFK or MLK gettin’
bucked by the United States government?

The special interest groups are loving it.

Yeah, killing you for fun is stress relief
for the murderers we pay to carry guns.

Who remembers Tupac in Atlanta or
Rodney King in Los Angeles?

Now is the time to unify our learning.

Next time the burning begins don’t waste
your time breaking windows and stealing
TVs. If you get the urge to loot call me
at 555-pick-up-a-gun-and-shoot.

The American police state has the poor
on their dinner plate. If you don’t believe
me just check the minority conviction rate
in DC.

And for anybody who thinks I’m just talking
shit, non-believer get it correct.
Before the show I copped a burner and when I’m done here I’m gonna jam “Fuck the Police” in the
tape deck, bounce to the second street overpass,
call 911 with a fake report, wait on the first pig
I see then,

BAM!

I’m gonna smoke his ass.

I’ve come to realize, that’s the best way to fuck
the police. Besides, I’m fresh out of grease and
principles.

Now tell me, how many soldiers do we have in
the place to be and who the fuck feels expendable?

If You Had A Son, What would You Say?
(Lesson 1: Don’t trust your eyes)

Author’s Note: Teach your own at home… first!

“Daddy!”

Yes son.

“What does distraction mean?”

Well son let’s see, I believe distraction to be
the favorite tool of governments, elite families
and contracted media firms worldwide, to try
and keep you and I willingly locked in our homes
after five, intoxicated, fast food fed and Lazy
Boy satisfied.

“Huh?”

The act of being distracted is a subliminal form
of conditioning and can easily be detected by
the rancid, capitalistic stench of malnutrition
and terror that’s endured by we, the unfortunate
inhabitants who unjustly remain economically
railroaded into sixty hour work weeks of
constant panic and no sleep.

“I don’t understand daddy.”

Distraction is unknowingly trading your mind,
resistance and freedom for self serving programs
of idle satisfaction, such as Block Buster Videos,
plasma screens and remote controls. It’s also
the Internet, commercial Hip Hop magazines,
and next year’s Super Bowl, all intentionally
written to steer the consumer from ever seeking
revolutionary action and due to the practice
of these distractions, one out of every two
consumers is either reprogrammed or non active!

Ooohh

Why son, some programs are created so you jones
for’em, get high then go to jail for’em, for example,

A Partnership for a Drug Free America is prime
distraction in action. How can it not be, when the
key members just happen to be: Philip Morris,
Anheiser Bush, and far to many pill pusher’s to
name, all banned together to keep cannabis illegal,
so Marlboro, Budweiser and Tylox can remain in
control of the real dope game!

Tell me more.

Distraction is feeling good about the war and
“re-electing” Bush in 2004. It’s simple, Bush stole
office and we lost our jobs. It’s simple, Bush stole
office and we watched window jumper’s on 9/11.
IT’S SIMPLE, BUSH STOLE OFFICE TO ADVANCE
the temple.

Remember, the poverty we fester in is a direct
result from the elite helping themselves at the
expense of systematically killing those beneath
them for thousands of years.

What is distraction? Everything around you son,
even your peers!
